COVID-19 SMITH ROCK STATE PARK INFORMATION
Trails, campground and welcome center:
The park is open to all the normal outdoor activities allowed at Smith Rock, (including climbing), with some advisories due to Bald Eagle nesting and climbing closures due to seasonal nesting.
Drinking fountains are turned off. There is a bottle refill station by the Welcome Center, and another before you cross the bridge.
The Bivy Campground re-opened May 27, 2021.
Facilities may close without notice.
The Welcome Center yurt is open sporadically during the week, with limited hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, based on the availability of volunteer staffing. Annual passes can also be purchased online or at the Terrebonne Oliver Lemons store.
WELCOME CENTER UPDATE:
The park staff was able to modify the entrance for walk-up sales at the front door. It has a plexiglass sneeze guard installed, so they will be able to sell annual park passes, some merchandise, and answer questions from there. It will be credit/debit card sales only, no cash, and hours are 8:30 am to 1 pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday and other days of the week as volunteers are available). The hours are subject to change and will not be posted.
